Opic Construction Company Ltd. is a general contracting construction company incorporated as a private limited liability company under the Kenyan Companies Act.
The company has enjoyed progressive and significant growth providing one of the largest labor forces in the construction industry. Our capabilities and reputation for the successful construction, engineering, supply and management has established many long-standing relationships with our clients.
The size and the expertise of the company also ensures a large percentage of the work is undertaken “in- house” and not primarily through subcontractors, giving a greater control over the quality of all our projects and the ability to drive performance requirements.
The Company operates primarily throughout Kenya, but is venturing to establish presence in other parts of Africa.

Examples of work completed at these facilities include creating innovative offices, installing modular buildings, creating public greenways and parks, and erecting metal building/canopies. Our in-house work includes but is not limited to sidewalks, concrete pads and ramps, framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, wood trim work, doors, frames, locks, and pallet racking systems.

A well-designed drainage system is crucial for managing stormwater, preventing flooding, and ensuring the longevity of infrastructure. While Opic construction company was working on the drainage project, we had to carefully plan, design, and implement the system to meet regulatory and environmental standards.
The project began with a thorough site assessment, where engineers and surveyors analyzed the terrain, soil composition, and existing water flow patterns. This helped determine the most effective drainage solution, whether it be open channels, underground pipelines, or retention basins. We also considered factors such as local climate conditions, rainfall intensity, and the impact on surrounding structures.

Key Personnel
The project managers control time, cost and quality of our projects, from residential, commercial and industrial buildings to roads, bridges and schools. They plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction processes, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors. A single manager might oversee an entire construction project, or multiple managers might oversee specific aspects of a larger project. We have our inhouse project manager but we also keep a huge database of qualified consultants who can be reached when need arises.

Mechanical site engineers, also known as field engineers, are responsible for making sure all client machinery on a given project are constructed and installed correctly. Usually, these projects are commercial construction projects and involve HVAC systems.
They oversee activities such as building bridges, repairing highways and doing construction on airports. While Civil Supervisors may have an office, much of their time is spent on construction sites to make sure all parties involved are performing up to par. They are leaders who have worked their way up to this position from earlier experience in civil engineering and public works.
The Senior Electrical Engineer (SEE) directs and controls the company’s electrical engineering functions to ensure the provision of a comprehensive engineering and maintenance service to all processes, plants, equipment and buildings to the satisfaction of our clients.
Senior Environmentalist concerns himself with studying the impact of projects we undertake on the environment, and identifying ways to mitigate or eliminate any suchnegative impacts, such as air pollution. With increased pressure on governments to reduce the harmful effects their activities have on the world, there is more demand than ever for contractors to observe environmental policies during construction.
